By reviewing the USDA zone info for Ontario it's a good idea to figure out when it's a good idea to plant forget-me-not.

You probably don't want to wait any later than that or else your forget-me-not may not have a chance to really do well. Starting your forget-me-not indoors is a great way to get them started a few weeks earlier.

The average date of last frost is April 15 in Ontario. It might get as low as -15°F during the coldest months of winter.

Keep in mind that USDA zone info for Ontario is not always accurate and the actual date of last frost can change quite a bit from year to year. Since half of the time in Ontario you get surprised by a frost after April 15 be ready to protect your forget-me-not if you have a surprise late frost.

This means that on a really cold year, the coldest it will get is -15°F. On most years you should be prepared to experience lows near -10°F.
