On average the last frost has passed is on March 15 in The Colony. In the coldest months of winter you should expect an average low temperature of 10°F.

Just be sure to remember that USDA zone info for The Colony is not always accurate and the actual date of last frost changes from year to year. Half of the time in The Colony you get a frost after March 15 so make sure that you are ready to protect your kale if you have one of those late frosts.
