When can I plant Anise in Zone 6b

Anise are barely cold tolerant which means that you can get them planted just a bit earlier than plants that are more sensitive to the cold.

The earliest that you can plant anise in Zone 6b is March. However, you really should wait until April if you don't want to take any chances.

The last month that you can plant anise and expect a good harvest is probably August. If you wait any later than that and your anise may not have a chance to really do well. If you are starting your anise indoors then you might be able to get away with starting them a little bit earlier.
