Sutera are one of those plants that can tolerate a tiny bit of cold weather which means that you can start planting them slightly earlier than other plants that might not handle the cold.

The earliest that you can plant sutera in Zone 6b is March. However, you really should wait until April if you don't want to take any chances.

The last month that you can plant sutera and expect a good harvest is probably August. You probably don't want to wait any later than that or else your sutera may not have a chance to really do well. Half of the time in Zone 6b you get a frost after April 15 so make sure that you are ready to protect your sutera in the event of a surprise late frost.
