When can I plant Neeps in Zone 6a

The last month that you can plant neeps and expect a good harvest is probably August. You probably don't want to wait any later than that or else your neeps may not have a chance to fully mature. You can get started a few weeks earlier by starting your neeps indoors.

It's important to remember that our actual date of last frost is just an average because it is based on the USDA zone info for Zone 6a and it can change quite a bit from year to year. Half of the time in Zone 6a we get surprised by a frost after April 15 so make sure that you are ready to protect your neeps in the event of a surprise late frost.
