When can I plant Feverfew in Zone 3a

One of the best tools that we have as gardeners to help us estimate our gardening schedule is the USDA zone info. The zone info helps tell us things like average date of last frost and lowest expected temperature for our area.

Feverfew are moderately cold tolerant which means that you can plant them earlier than other plants that might not handle the cold.

The earliest that you can plant feverfew in Zone 3a is March. However, you really should wait until April if you don't want to take any chances.

The last month that you can plant feverfew and expect a good harvest is probably August. Any later than that and your feverfew may not have a chance to really do well. If you are starting your feverfew indoors then you might be able to get away with starting them a few weeks earlier.

On average all chance of frost has passed is on May 15 in Zone 3a. We can expect an average low temperature of -40°F in the coldest months of winter.
