When can I plant Celeriac in Zone 7a

One of the first steps we take when we are determining our gardening schedule is find our USDA Zone info. The most important data that the zone info tells us is average last frost and the lowest expected temperature for our area.

The earliest that you can plant celeriac in Zone 7a is February. However, you really should wait until March if you don't want to take any chances.

The last month that you can plant celeriac and expect a good harvest is probably September. If you wait any later than that and your celeriac may not have a chance to really do well. If you are starting your celeriac indoors then you might be able to get away with starting them a few weeks earlier.

It's important to remember that our actual date of last frost is not always accurate because it is based on the USDA zone info for Zone 7a and it changes from year to year.
