When can I plant Veronica in Zone 7a

One of the best tools that we have as gardeners to help us figure out our gardening schedule is the USDA zone info. The zone info helps tell us things like average date of last frost and lowest expected temperature for our area.

By referring to the USDA zone info for Zone 7a it's possible to estimate when you can plant veronica.

Since veronica are one of those plants that can tolerate a little bit of cold weather you can plant them just a bit earlier in the year than other frost tender plants.

The earliest that you can plant veronica in Zone 7a is February. However, you really should wait until March if you don't want to take any chances.

The last month that you can plant veronica and expect a good harvest is probably September. Any later than that and your veronica may not have a chance to really do well. If you are starting your veronica indoors then you might be able to get away with starting them a few weeks earlier.
