When to Plant Parsley in Zone 2a

The earliest that you can plant parsley in Zone 2a is April. However, you really should wait until May if you don't want to take any chances.

The last month that you can plant parsley and expect a good harvest is probably August. You probably don't want to wait any later than that or else your parsley may not have a chance to grow to maturity. If you are starting your parsley indoors then you might be able to get away with starting them a few weeks earlier.

Last Frost Date

The average date of last frost is May 15 in Zone 2a. It might get as low as -50°F during the coldest months of winter.

Always keep in mind that the actual date of last frost is not always accurate because it is based on the USDA zone info for Zone 2a and it changes from year to year. Half of the time in Zone 2a last frost occurs after May 15 so make sure that you are ready to cover your parsley in the event of a surprise late frost.
