The earliest that you can plant pyrethrum in Zone 2a is April. However, you really should wait until May if you don't want to take any chances.

The last month that you can plant pyrethrum and expect a good harvest is probably August. If you wait any later than that and your pyrethrum may not have a chance to fully mature. If you are starting your pyrethrum indoors then you might be able to get away with starting them a little bit earlier.

Just be sure to remember that the actual date of last frost may not be accurate from year to year because it is based on the USDA zone info for Zone 2a and it is different every year. Half of the time in Zone 2a you get a frost after May 15 so make sure that you are prepared to protect your pyrethrum in the event of a late frost.
